Inflection AI has recently enhanced its chatbot, Pi, introducing the Inflection-2.5 model, touted as competitive with the leading language models globally, including GPT-4 and Gemini. Launched in May 2023, Pi was initially envisioned as an "empathetic, helpful, and safe" AI. The updated model, Inflection-2.5, presents itself as a strong contender in the AI conversational market.
Pi has reportedly engaged in over four billion conversations, boasting one million daily active users and six million monthly. Users interact with Pi on various topics, from catching up on news to drafting business plans and studying for exams. The average session with Pi lasts about 33 minutes, reflecting its broad utility and engagement.
Inflection-2.5, the latest upgrade, brings significant enhancements, notably real-time web search capabilities, ensuring users access current and high-quality information. Pi is now more accessible with iOS, Android, desktop, and web interfaces, incorporating intelligence quotient (IQ) capabilities on par with industry leaders.
Testing the Pi chatbot is straightforward. Users can access Pi for free via its web platform, pi.ai, without the need for account creation. The web interface resembles other chatbots, featuring a dialogue box and conversation pane, and offers a voice option for an auditory interaction. Pi supports multiple languages, responding accurately in the user's native language.
